My name is Carolyn Whitson, and I am a Professor of English at Metropolitan State University, where I teach ancient and medieval humanities, and photography in visual culture.  For over 30 years, I have been visiting ancient and medieval sites, photographing them as a way to connect my students with people in the past.  This website brings those photos and some of my online teaching  materials to others who are curious, or who share my passion for these topics.
