About Me

My name is Carolyn Whitson, and I am Professor Emerita at Metropolitan State University, St. Paul, Minnesota. I taught ancient and medieval humanities courses, as well as courses in photography as visual culture.

For over 35 years, I've been visiting ancient and medieval sites, photographing as a way to connect my students with people of the past.
